Claire Alexandre was born in 1996 in Santa Fe, N.M, and grew up in the south of France. She is a multidisciplinary artist who studied environmental science at Duke University. Her work focuses on understanding how natural and urban environments shape community history and growth and how those environments, in term, shape people and communities. As an environmental artist she always tries to include local flora and fauna in her work in order to give homage to her natural surroundings and to encourage alternative paths to communicate ecological knowledge.

She recently came back from a 9 months working and exploring in South America, where she completed two residencies in Sao Paulo, Brazil and Santa Marta, Colombia.
